I’m Josh Talbott, captain of the ‘Sunny Day’. I have been a fine art painter, a Jade diver, and many other things. In December of 2022 I bought the Sunny Day and I have rebuilt her to serve as my first charter boat. My ocean life began in 2009 when I arrived in Los Osos, and started surfing. I am a curious person and follow questions where they lead and that is how I found the very small world of scuba diving for jade in Big Sur. This adventure with the ‘Sunny Day’ has been a natural outgrowth of that adventure, each with its lessons on how to refine my humanity. I am an avid reader and deeply principled person always with an eye on safety and service.
